As the VP of USB Products at Adapt-IP Straff and his team developed the USB Defender technology. Straff has held positions as Director and VP at a variety of established and startup companies including: Ardent (Director of Operating Systems); SGI (Director of Core Irix and Cray Research teams); Traverse/Avaya, and Seven Networks (Director of Mobile); Openwave (Director of Big Data and Mobile Analytics); and PublishOne (VP of Engineering).

Mike is USB expert and product strategist with twenty years experience in microelectronics and semiconductors, largely dedicated to USB and PCIe integration.

Mac is CEO of Adapt-IP and a founder and investor in USB-Defender Inc.
Mac's early experience as a computer architect and chip designer (ESL/TRW, Cydrome, Ardent, Stardent) in the '80s prepared and motivated him to advance the state of the art of EDA (developing VCS @ Chronologic, SureCov @ Surefire, and C-to-Silicon at Cadence). Mac earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
- Dr. John Sanguinetti, Chairman
A serial EDA entrepreneur and angel investor, John brings his years of experience, connections and technologist savvy to USB-Defender. John has worked in computer architecture, performance analysis and design verification for 20 years. After working for Digital Equipment Corporation, Amdahl, ELXSI, Ardent, and NeXT, he founded Chronologic Simulation in 1991 and was President until 1995. Dr. Sanguinetti was the principal architect of VCS, the Verilog Compiled Simulator. He is a Founder of Forte Design Systems, which focuses on high-level hardware synthesis from SystemC. He was named an ACM Fellow in 2012.
